First, we all went to the famous Empire State Building. Unlike King Kong, we took the ELEVATOR up to the 86th floor. We had to fight the fog, but the breathtaking view was really a dream come true.
We could see all the different city districts that we had already seen, and others we were about to discover. We could see every aspect of the city, and saw with our own eyes something we thought we’d only see in movies.
After some souvenir shopping we went to Pier 17 and had some free time to explore the area. While some spent their time at the mall, some of us checked out the Brooklyn Bridge and had a real New York “dog.” It was the best hot dog in New York.
Later, we went to the place that each of us could feel at home, the international territory of the UN. As we were sitting in the seats we could feel the power of love between nations.
Then...we walked from China to Italy! (They are just across the street from each other.) We tried some samples of Chinese candy, saw shark fin, and we watched people enjoying the weather at nice Italian restaurants.
We went to a restaurant in Chinatown for dinner – and there was a huge wedding party happening! The food was gorgeous and an amazing new experience. Some of us learned how to use chopsticks even.
Tomorrow, we are going to see Liberty Enlightening the world and we will say goodbye to NYC. We still can’t believe that we’re really here...Even though the time goes so fast, the dream has not ended yet because it’s only day 4!!!
